Accounting System Implementation Specialist

We have a full time position available for System Implementation Specialist, reporting to the Manager, Information Strategies.  This is a one-year term position with the potential for permanent employment.  Our ideal candidate has the following skills:

  • Experience with support and implementation of ERP Systems and other business information related systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL databases; experience with data conversions
  • Project management training and/or certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to train end-users on software and write process training documentation
  • Design and develop financial reporting and analytics, experience with IBM Clarity an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Accounting experience and/or experience in land development would be an asset
  • Enthusiastic, professional, and team-focused individual with great communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrate a sense of urgency and meet reporting deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • Support an ERP implementation by developing data conversion routines, custom output documents, custom reports, dashboards, system configuration, etc.
  • Refine, maintain and report on ERP implementation plans
  • Track and manage outstanding issues and actions, coordinate issue resolution internally and with ERP vendor
  • Support ongoing system improvements and maintenance for new and existing systems
  • Provide training, documentation and education in systems usage and reporting
  • Participate as a team member in HRC and accounting department team meetings and events
